Emerging Trends in Engineering and Sustainability (ETES) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and ethical practice throughout the publication process. Authors and stakeholders are encouraged to raise well-substantiated appeals against editorial decisions or to report concerns related to editorial handling, such as excessive delays, ethical misconduct, or breaches in publication standards.
Appeals must be clearly reasoned and supported by relevant evidence. All appeals will be initially reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or designated editorial board members. If the appeal is deemed valid, it may be further evaluated by the editorial board and/or additional external reviewers. Based on this review, a final editorial decision will be communicated to the appellant.
ETES handles all complaints and allegations in alignment with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. This includes addressing issues both before and after publication. If a complaint pertains to ethical misconduct or procedural failures, it will be carefully investigated. When necessary, such concerns may be escalated to the relevant institution or authority for formal inquiry.
Should an investigation confirm the need to amend the scholarly record, ETES will issue a post-publication notice, such as a correction or retraction, clearly linked to the original article via a permanent DOI and URL. In exceptionally rare cases—where legal or ethical considerations justify it—an article may be removed entirely in the interest of public integrity.
Submitting an Appeal or Complaint
To submit a complaint or appeal, authors should contact the journal’s editorial team with a detailed explanation via email at: etes@alnaji-uni.edu.iq. If the concern involves a conflict with the editors themselves, complaints may be directed to the publisher through the same contact point. All concerns will be handled with professionalism, confidentiality, and due diligence.
