About Journal

Emerging Trends in Engineering and Sustainability (ETES) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by Al-Naji University in accordance with the academic standards and publishing regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq. Dedicated to advancing high-impact research, ETES promotes innovative practices across all engineering disciplines, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and technological sciences. The journal serves a diverse audience of researchers, academic scientists, and postgraduate scholars seeking to address pressing global challenges through sustainable solutions, technologies, and methodologies.

To uphold academic excellence, ETES employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process involving at least two independent external reviewers for each submission. The journal adheres to the ethical publishing standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and enforces strict plagiarism checks using Turnitin and/or iThenticate, with clear limits on similarity scores—including AI-generated content. In line with this policy, the use of generative AI for drafting or substantively editing manuscripts is prohibited, ensuring authors retain full intellectual responsibility for their work.

As an open-access journal, ETES provides immediate, unrestricted access to all published articles, which are freely available to read, download, and distribute, supporting global knowledge exchange. All articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to ensure permanent, reliable access.

ETES follows a quarterly publication schedule, releasing four regular issues per year. Its long-term vision is to become a widely indexed, cited, and respected international platform, contributing meaningfully to the advancement of sustainable engineering and technological innovation worldwide.
